"This PETKIT PURA MAX 2 is a self cleaning cat litter machine which enables cat owner (like me) enjoy the cat companion without spending lots of time and energy to clean its litter. It also helps me to maintain my home tidy, fresh and a high level of hygiene. This newly innovative machine has successfully solved the urine leakage issues seen in previous version by introducing a double silicone seals along the sides. It also comes with an improved pad that can be snuggly fit on my laminate floor thanks to its elastic border. The improvements on the leakage and landing pads really makes a difference. This Pura Max 2 has an interior space of 76L that can accommodate a cat of 18 lbs weight. Its 7.8 inch low entry gate ensures the accessibility of old cats, small cats and cats with limited mobility. It works well with clay or tofu litter in my case. I am sure it works with other litters too. This automatic litter box has 7L waste bin (with lid) that allows 2-week use for one medium size cat before dumping it.

“I’ve been trying out two of the PETKIT Pura Max self-cleaning litter boxes, the basic and the premium. The short and to the point review is that they are both superb! Basically, if you can afford one, get one. There are a couple of things to bear in mind; firstly, this is not suitable for kittens or small, light cats. As a matter of safety, please consider a different product. Timid cats are probably going to be put off by it and may prefer to go to the loo anywhere but the new electronic igloo that has replaced their old pan as well! Secondly, both the basic and the premium are very large items. Make sure you have measured the available space correctly before buying one as you also need to leave a bit of space around it for it to work properly. The instructions are fairly straightforward and you also are given links to video guidance, so figuring out the pan and the app won’t take too long. The main difference between the basic and premium is that the premium has additional deodorising features. You don’t really need these, but they’re nice to have. It is a big price jump though. That is the only real negative - this is an expensive device. The litter bags and various accessories aren’t cheap either. But it’s worth it. If you can justify the expense to yourself you will find this a real time-saver when it comes to caring for your pets and managing the hours in your day.

"This was not an impulse purchase - I thought long and hard about whether it was the right thing to do for my cats. I have two young male Siamese cats who I absolutely adore, but one of them had started peeing in inappropriate places (mostly the bed...) and I really didn't know what else to try.
